On March 14 the VI Regional Wine Competition "Tierra del Quijote, organized by the Department for Development and Promotion Wine Hall of Alcázar de San Juan was held. In this unique contest our Ruda Assembly harvested a "Quijote de Plata" in the category of red wines in barrels harvests 2012, 2013 and 2014:
For Viña Ruda this competition is very special, not only for the prize, but who composed the jury: A thousand people are responsible for choosing the best Spanish wines in a massive blind tasting, tasting as Spain.
Hospitality professionals and specialized trade (as sommeliers, restaurateurs, makers of specialty shops or retailers), wine professionals (as winemakers or technical) and journalists, are part of this mixed panel of tasters. Joining them are also involved wine lovers in general, that is, people who are not professionals but who are passionate about wine and have critical thinking and basics of tasting and tasting.
This large heterogeneous jury makes the distinguished wines are the best wines of the Tierra del Quijote, because they are able to please experts and amateurs, who are the ultimate consumers. As the motto of this event, "1000 not wrong".
